World Book Day

We love reading in Year 1 and today we celebrated world book day by reading lots of books about space and aliens. We hope you all enjoy using the fantastic Hill Mead book marks when you read at home, there are still a few left for sale, cheap at £1!

World book day have a fantastic website where you can watch a wonderful range of famous authors and stars reading children's books and short stories for children on their Storytime Online page:

      I really enjoy reading Man on the Moon as well Chelsea because I think he obviously really cares about the moon. I also like how friendly he is to tourists from earth!

    The think that you can buy books with are really good because they cost £1. And, my Mummy said she was going to take me there and I am going tot get a boy book for me and my little brother to read together. Because I have too brothers who are like Ninja turtles!

    Bob from the Man on the Moon has a little stick thingy to collect the sweet packets. He has a hoover to suck the bottles up and strings and stuff. Man in the Moon is a great book. I like books.

    I like about the books marks because if you go to bed and put the book mark there. Put the book mark where you continue the reading. Hhmmmm, the books that we have to sell with the book things are £1.
