Alien reading

We have been reading all about aliens in guided reading this week in the book Here Come the Aliens.  The Snail and the Whale guided reading group's favourite page was when the aliens came to lunch.

The aliens in the book slobbered, gobbled and munched. They had no table manners and like to eat tongues and worms.

Iris and Isaac

This week in literacy we have been reading and learning about the story of Iris and Isaac. We preformed story whooshes of the story acting out all the things the characters do and see in the story. We then rewrote the story in our own words. 

In guided reading we re-read the story independently. Handa Surprise guided reading group recorded themselves reading the story.
